I was born in the Sakura area of Japan many, many moons ago. I was a child when I came to the United States. Only in my mind can I imagine what it must have smelled like. I think you have nailed it !!! The smell of the soap combined with the candle opened my mind to all the beautiful pictures and thoughts that filled my mind with wonder, which is now filling my mind as senior citizens.
